The Marielle Franco Nucleus

NMF

The Marielle Franco Nucleus – NMF was founded in May 2018, when the Institute for Climate and Society (iCS) decided to broaden the thematic discussion of racial diversity by hiring a consulting firm.

Since then, the NMF has been structured and has officially become a focal point for promoting reflection and racial awareness, targeting not only the organizational culture of iCS, but also the institutions around iCS.

The Mission of NMF

To promote racial equity and to accelerate inclusion initiatives in the institutional
development of iCS.

Internally stimulating the reflection and the racial equality in the profile of iCS employees, with special attention to decision-making positions.
