Partnerships and Networks
Partnerships
Funders
iCS mobilizes domestic and international resources from multiple sources—including foundations, philanthropists, and cooperation programs—to strengthen initiatives and institutions that drive the climate agenda in Brazil, with transparency and independence.
Grantees
The iCS supports institutions of different types and profiles working on Brazil’s climate agenda. Its grantees include civil society organizations, think tanks, academic institutions, and observatories. It also works in partnership with private-sector associations committed to the transition to a low-carbon economy.
Institutional Partners
iCS establishes technical partnerships with national and international organizations to conduct studies, facilitate technical dialogues, create financial instruments, support the development of public policies, and share experiences, with the aim of scaling solutions that contribute to Brazil’s transition to a low-carbon economy.
Exchange with philanthropy
iCS values the exchange of experiences in a network and believes in the power of philanthropy as a practice to support projects of public interest and the strengthening of democracy and Brazilian and global civil society. We are a member of the Group of Institutes, Foundations and Companies (GIFE), of the Comuá Network – Philanthropy that Transforms, and WINGS. We are also part of philanthropy collectives such as Forest People & Climate, the Alfie network, FFOG and several other sectoral collectives. In 2021, iCS adhered to the international commitment to philanthropy for climate change – #PhilanthropyForClimate – and supports the Brazilian commitment to philanthropy regarding climate change, led by GIFE.
